Introduction:
We are going to take an adventure on Crystal Island. During this journey you are going to complete various quests which will teach you about landforms and how weather affects landforms.
Before our actual journey begins, you will need to determine what landforms you think you might encounter and how you think these landforms will impact your travel around the island.
Procedures:
  1. Students will be shown Crystal Island graphics from the game via the virtual walk-through.
  2. Students will complete Think, Puzzle, Explore charts in order to activate their schema and ask questions to figure out what they may encounter and how it will impact their gameplay.
  3. After completing the Think, Puzzle, Explore, students will view a video on landforms (see video above).
  4. Students will make connections or ask more questions from their Think, Puzzle, Explore in order form a link between landforms knowledge and Crystal Island.
  5. Students will use technology (PC, laptop, I-Pads) to research landforms around the globe in order to complete individual blogs.
